Final Open Commercial Assignment.
Automobile Advertisement. Sell a vehicle to a buyer, use a variety of angles and both interior and exterior shots to convey the vehicle.
Food. Seven Images. Choose a single food or ingredient that your are going to show. We are trying to emulate a foodie magazine and all images should be connected together in some way.
Couples/ Engagement/Group. Seven Images. (one group, couple) You can choose between the three and create a set of portraits showing a connection between people. Think about how they might fit together: the couples is obvious, but making sure they fit together as a pair (not one with casual clothes/other with formal - unless it's part of your greater statement) or group - friends all from a team/sport/hobby. The point is to show a deeper connection besides : here are two people in a photograph. Plan every pixel.
Architecture/Real Estate Photography
Architecture: Show the structure as well as details that the architect put into the design. Show parts of the Building as a whole, then a details.
For Real Estate: Show the home and it's best features. Start with an establishing, then show different rooms. Sell the place to a prospective buyer.
Fashion Shoot! Pick ONE fashion house or line and show a continuity for 7 images with 7 different pieces of clothing. Backgrounds should help convey continuity but not be repetitious (boring). Think about how to connect your images BEFORE committing to the shoot.
Product Advertisement 1 product, 1 purpose. 7 different ways to advertise it. Create a series of Product advertisements with 7 different "treatments" or pitches to a client for a single product with a single purpose. No food, no fashion. No Sterile backgrounds... show how it's purpose in places
Senior Portraits. Students took 7 images that showcase a senior. 7 different poses required.
Headshots: Fashion, Modeling, Business. Student were to do 2 different types with different poses showing consistent light for subject and background.
Fashion. Students photographed a series of fashion images as a layout for either a brand, store, or trend. Images were to have a continuity in both style and content.
Senior Portrait. Our first "job". Photo Imaging students were required to find a non family, non class member to work with that was within a year of high school graduation. Seven or more marketable images, 8X10" print quality output. Skills learned: Lighting, posing, and directing a client through a portrait shoot.

Final Area of Interest. Students choose the area they'd like to work on in Commercial Photography. Topics may be within areas we've covered or one outside the class examples.
Nutrition Services Photo Shoot. Photo imaging classes strive to present "Real World" work to our students. These pics were done for SDUHSD's Nutrition Services and will be used around the district... With the students copyright and CCA Photo! We are very proud of these examples that were selected for real use.

Fisheye Portrait. Rather than complementary, fisheye portraits go for exaggerated aspects and angles. They're simply FUN! Can you sort out who they are?

Battle of the Bands Promotional. Students were to create a poster image that advertises a band's involvement in our CCA on campus competition. Images are used by both the school and the bands themselves to promote the event.
